Solid Foods

This weekend has been both a joy, and quite stressful at the same time. First off, Liv has been fighting her mother and I all weekend on whether or not she is going to nap. She likes to cry, and then slowly work herself into a frenzy before she eventually just tuckers out and crashes.
We also spent part of Saturday night at the E.R. because no place else is really open after 5PM on weekends when you just need some reassurance. You can talk on the phone all you wan to an \"ask a nurse\" type person, but when you really want a doctor\'s opinion, and someone to actually *LOOK* at something, then your options are quite limited. (Which is the subject of a whole other blog entirely, but not now...). Basically she\'s got a rash known as pityriasis rosea. Apparently harmless, possibly itchy, and viral, though not contagious. The poor thing is just covered with red blotches and dots.
In better, more promising news, we\'ve tried getting her going on rice cereal. She doesn\'t quite know what to do with it yet, and I\'ll be posting an image of is soon enough. I\'ll have one in the gallery when I finish this entry, but be patient, it\'s a huge download and those of you on dialup may want to wait until I get some sort of graphics editor installed on my iMac. Currently I am running pretty bare bones, but I digress.
She didn\'t know quite what to do at first, but after our third try this weekend, she seems to be catching on. She still isn\'t getting any sizeable amount into her tummy, but the funny faces have somewhat gone away...
Anyway, its been a while since I\"ve updated, and I hope to remedy that soon. It\'s coming up on a year since \"lifewithryan.com\" has been accessible, and overall I am happy that I\'ve been able to stick with it this long.
Off to watch my new favorite drama, Grey\'s Anatomy....oh and add that picture to the gallery.

Concerning the image...it\'s a bit big...but I\'ll have to fix that another time.

Okay now, that\'s just mean ;-)
Definitely her genes, but just wait, when her teeth come in, I bet she get\'s a big ole gap like her daddy!
I *am* quite the lucky guy, beautiful wife and daughter...what more can one ask?

I know you have a right for praise too. She looks like her daddy too;)

I\'m not sure I wanna put *that* on her either...=) Seriously though, she does have my eyes, but she has her mothers smile all the way! Carrie has the best smile in the world, so Liv is lucky to inherit that.
