Ezekiel 25:17 Ryan on Mar 15, 2005 8:50am
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother\'s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

(One must note that Ezekiel 25:17 according to the King James version of the Bible only really contains the last part of the above quote).

No, I\'m not gettin\' all preachy on you...many folks will recognize that passage from a certain movie. That\'s right, I *finally* saw Pulp Fiction last night. I still haven\'t made up my mind what I thought of it however.

I sort of feel the same way I did when I saw the movie \"Seven\", sorta messed up, feeling down, need to shower kinda feeling. It was entertaining but portions of it were quite disturbing for me, but I guess that was the whole point. Aside from the obvious disturbing scenes, (In Zed\'s basement with Maynard and \"The Gimp\"), I found it quite disturbing that I was actually laughing whent he guy got shot in the back of the car.

Carrie has been telling me about this scene for years, and how she felt wierd laughing because this guys head got splattered all over the back seat of Chevy Nova. Now I understand perfectly. I saw it coming, watched it happen, and laughed...

Have I become that insensitive to violence, or was Quentin Terrentino that good of a director that they made something like that funny. I dunno...like I said, I still haven\'t made up my mind. Overall, I think I was entertained, but feel a bit icky for having witnessed it. (I\'m still laughing though...wierd...)

I must say its got a great soundtrack though...
